Michael Feldman

Michael is the face of Feldman Geospatial, leading the firm’s community and branding activities, managing the company’s financial strategy, and directing and evaluating the firm’s fiscal and real estate positions. He continually monitors the pulse of the organization and sets the tone for Feldman’s company culture by reinforcing the vision, mission and values established by the leadership team. He collaborates with the management team and human resources on all people and talent management programs, initiatives, and key decisions.

Michael was his own owner’s rep for the due diligence, acquisition, design, and adaptive re-use of the firm’s headquarters at 152 Hampden Street, a brick-and-beam, former factory building built in 1856. He marketed the tenant space and managed the leasing activities that landed three different breweries and tap rooms in the first-floor space.

Under Michael’s leadership, Feldman has been recognized in several Boston Business Journal lists, including “Pacesetters,” “Fastest Growing Companies,” and as one of the region’s largest family businesses. His dedication to investing in new technologies has earned the business a reputation as the go-to firm for emerging practices such as 3D laser scanning and building information modeling (BIM). The company’s success in this emerging market has attracted positive media attention from The Boston Globe, New York Times, Associated Press, CBS Evening News, NECN, and the Discovery Channel.

A humble but noteworthy philanthropist, Michael supports many local charities and non-profits including The Base, Orchard Gardens Boys and Girls Club, the Orchard Gardens Resident Association, the Orchard Gardens K-8 School, Friends of Boston’s Homeless, Victim Rights Law Center, Dana-Farber, American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, and many others. In 2021, Michael was appointed by Mayor Walsh’s office to the Advisory Committee of PLAN Newmarket, The 21st Century Economy Initiative, beginning the process of new zoning for the Newmarket area south of Mass Ave. He is a current member of the Board of Overseers of Historic Boston, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Newmarket Business Association, and was also on the Board of Overseers of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital as well as the School Council at the Mason Rice Elementary School in Newton.

In an effort to document and give back to the rich history of the City of Boston, Michael founded “Scanning Historic Boston.” For this unique charitable program, his firm performs 3D Laser Scanning of three historically significant buildings each year on a pro-bono basis. The results are breathtaking 3D, digital archives of Boston’s historic architectural treasures.

Michael has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Washington University.

An avid music enthusiast and percussionist, Michael studied Latin percussion at the Berklee College of Music and in Trinidad, Cuba.
